Your new epoxy garage floor looks beautiful! It is ready to protect your floor against spills, tire marks, and impact. It also will provide a safe, slip-resistant surface. However, this beautiful, durable floor will require periodic cleaning to maintain its beauty and durability. Here are some methods we recommend you use to keep your epoxy floor clean:
NON-OILY SHOP MOP & NON-TOXIC DEGREASERS:
The best way to clean your new epoxy floor? We recommend mopping the floor with warm water and a cleaning solution. However, be advised that you need to use clean water, clean mops, brushes, and pails. Rinse your mop often. This will help you avoid spreading dirt across the floor. Also, we recommend a degreaser such as Simple Green to clean your floor. Simple Green Industrial Cleaner & Degreaser is a safer alternative to toxic cleaners, bleaches & solvents. The concentrated formula cleans, degreases & deodorizes without harsh chemicals. The trusted formula is non-toxic, non-abrasive, non-corrosive and safe for use on all washable surfaces.Be aware that some disinfectant compounds may affect color, gloss and texture of an epoxy flooring system. Do not allow cleaners or disinfectants to dry on the surface.
BRISTLE BRUSH/BROOM
Use a hand broom with bristle brushes or soft bristle brush attachments or soft bristle brush attachments on power scrubbers. Do not use aggressive nylon pads or stiff bristle brushes that may scratch and dull the epoxy-flooring surface. The more aggressive the slip resistant texture is on your epoxy floor, the higher chance it will require the use of bristle type cleaning brushes.
VACUUM
A vacuum can be used on your epoxy floor any time there is dirt or dust on the floor that needs to be collected.
